Duplex printing uses both sides of the sheet. It cuts paper use for long notes and reports. Tap4Print prices single-sided and double-sided jobs as separate rules.
How duplex works at the kiosk
Choose Double in print options. The pricing engine multiplies billable pages by copies and applies the duplex rule for that paper size and color mode.
When two-sided printing helps
Long assignments, reading packs, and office manuals are cheaper and lighter when printed duplex.
Duplex printing step by step
In configure, set sides to Double before you pay. The quote switches to the duplex rule and GST updates. A five-page job still leaves the last page alone on the sheet. Booklet imposition — folding a signature like a magazine — is not offered. Walkthrough: How to print double-sided.
Double-sided uses a different per-page rule than single-sided. Estimate both on the printing calculator and compare with the pricing table. You still pay for every billable page; you simply print two pages per sheet.
If the printer jams mid-duplex after payment, refunds follow the Refund policy. Collect the stack before you leave — unattended output in a public lobby is your risk once the success screen appears, as in the Terms.
Frequently asked questions
Will every printer duplex automatically?
Jobs are sent with the selected side mode. If a printer cannot duplex, the operator or status page will show an error and the refund flow can start.
Does duplex bind a booklet?
No. It prints two-sided pages in order. You clip or bind the stack yourself.
Can I duplex color jobs?
Yes if the kiosk lists color. Cost is still the color rule plus the duplex side mode.
