You do not need a laptop at the kiosk. Scan the session QR, upload from your phone browser, set options on either screen, and pay.

Phone upload in four steps

The kiosk shows a QR tied to a short-lived session token. Your phone opens a secure upload page. After the file is accepted, the kiosk preview updates.

  • Choose paper, color, and copies

  • Pay and collect

No app required

The upload page is a mobile web flow. Guest users can print; wallet users can pay faster on the next visit.

Print documents from your phone without an app

iPhone and Android both work in the mobile browser. On the kiosk, start Print Document so a session QR appears. Scan it, pick a PDF, JPG, JPEG, or PNG from Files, Drive, or Photos, wait for the kiosk preview, then finish options and payment at the machine. Full steps: How to print from your phone.

Convert HEIC photos to JPG or PDF first. A timed-out QR needs a new session on the kiosk — do not reuse a screenshot from last week. The QR is only for upload. Payment still happens as UPI, card, net banking, or wallet after options, as in QR code printing.

When phone upload is the better path

Hotel guests printing boarding passes, students between classes, and anyone who does not carry a USB should use the phone path. There is no app-store download. The token is bound to that kiosk session so another machine cannot receive your file — see Security.

If you only have paper, skip the phone and use scan and print. If the file is already a clean PDF on a laptop, you can still use QR from the laptop browser, or upload at the kiosk if that flow is offered on screen.

Frequently asked questions

Does print from phone work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. Any modern mobile browser that can open the QR URL can upload.

What if the QR expires?

Sessions time out after the configured minutes. Start again at the kiosk to get a new token.

Do I need the Tap4Print app?

No. The session QR opens a mobile web upload page.

Why did my iPhone photo fail?

HEIC is not an accepted type. Convert to JPG or PDF, then retry.
